Painting brick inside your home is a relatively quick and simple process, the most important step is ensuring the surface is primed and sealed before topcoats are applied.

Brush down all brick to be painted remove any dust, dirt salts ensure the surface is as clean and dust-free as realistically possible

Re-render or repair any areas of failure, cracks, holes, etc., with either a suitable repair mortar or cement mortar.

Option 1 (Standard rooms)

Prime with one coat of Optiva Primer

Topcoat x 2 with Optiva 3, Optiva 5, Optiva 7, Optiva 20 or Optiva White, depending on sheen level required

Option 2 (High-performance system for high humidity areas)

Prime with one coat of Luja Universal Primer

Topcoat x 2 with Luja 7, Luja 20 or Luja 40, depending on sheen level required

Option 3 (Ideal for Hypoallergenic Environments)

Prime with one coat of Optiva Primer

Topcoat x 2 with Joker

Note: If brick is highly porous, flettons, sandstone or very old, apply a coat of Hydrosol Masonry Primer to seal and stabilise the surface prior to application of Optiva Primer or Luja Universal Primer.
