How Do I Paint Asbestos?Updated 2 years ago
Asbestos is a carcinogenic silicate material commonly found in old insulation, fire-resistant boards, roofing sheets, and ceiling tiles. If found, it should be left untouched, the appropriate authorities called, and only disturbed, removed, and disposed of by qualified licensed Asbestos removal experts. Asbestos is highly toxic if broken down into its fibrous state.
Asbestos must not be sanded or abraded in any way that will cause the surface to break down.
At most, a light wash down may be completed with a soft brush and Tikkurila Cleaning agent, all washing residue should be collected in a sealed container and disposed of by a certified, licensed asbestos removal company.
